$5.00 GAS

I still stick by my claim that 4.00 gas is what started the recession we are in. By the time you filled the car/truck with 4.00 gas bought groceries beer and cigarettes no one had any money to spend and business started to feel the pain.

I agree with you. It's time to take our country back.

I feel for you guy's who drive trucks/suv's every day our daily driver is a 91 Honda civic that gets 34 MPG and it hurts me when gas goes up.. They say it is because of the fighting over there but I think it is Bull crap.Some one has to pay for the BP's gulf spill. The media its self that announcing that gas will 5 a gallon will start a panic affect and gas will shot up anyway? So why say anything???????? Man there idiots and so many people believe that if the media say's it It is the truth not saying gas will not go to 5 bucks a gallon. Just in general, There is as much oil right under our feet as there is in other countries. What really sux is we are pulling oil from Iraq and selling it on the open market right now. Why don't they bring it here so our economy can once again flourish ?. Hay folks I have a Dr. that is from Russia and he is an older guy he said that this country is following the path of USSR we are just going at it a little slower he said we need to dissolve the whole Government and start over, I about fell out of my chair!
Well I can go on and on about this kind of thing but I will cut it off here. I realy think it is time we doo somthing or pay the price..

The projections I have seen predict gas getting to $4.00 which is about 20% more than it is now. By the time we split gas last year we spent about $120 in gas on our big fishing trip. This year it will be $144 so its not like $24 is going to make a big impact on a trip that cost $300 total. But it does **** for sure and my dad just got a new optimax for his boat so he wont spend near as much.

Hit the smaller trolling motor lakes more often. Big fish don't always live in big water.

If we don't tap our own resources, then we will never get away from these oil prices.

Raise the price of a bushel of wheat or corn for export to the same as a barrel of oil. We can eat our wheat and corn, let's see them drink their oil.

I got rid of the Triton & truck.Now i get 23.5mpg with the HHR loaded for fishing.Go green and go more.Coosa gets me there.And al that i can still go 70mph on the road.Gas isn't going down any time soon so if you want too fish any go green.

That's fine and dandy for right now...but wait until the gas tax is repealed and we're all assessed a highway usage fee based on the miles we drive instead of the gallons of gas or diesel we use.

Higher miles per gallon has caused a large reduction in the amount of available funds to fix our bridges, highways, etc.

The guy with the electric car who is taking advantage of not paying any highway taxes at all will eventually be dealt with. He's short-changing the government by not buying fuel.

Along those same lines, it wouldn't surprise me if trailers were part of the highway usage fee also. Won't it be fun paying for the miles our boat trailers travel on the highway too?

Rich drilling is only going to go so far. Chevron charges the same for Alaskan oil as Lybia oil. I can't tell the diffenence.

Looks like I will just be syphoning my gas from Tyme's truck while he is out on the Ohio wishing Doug was still around.

IN reality gas isnt that expensive. It simply lacked behind the rest of the inflation going on since the 1970's. You look at the cost of a gallon of gas as a percentage of what a typical household income is, and you will see it is a lower percentage than what it was 30 years ago. Gas prices are just simply catching up with inflation. That doenst make it hurt any less in the wallet.

It just amazes me that the talk of a shortage of gas can justify gas station to raise the price of gas immediately. You know the gas in their tanks was the same gas they paid a lower price for.This *****, their profits go up up up and we pay the price. SORRY JUST VENTING
