    How high will it rise?

Calling for 3 to 4 inches of rain. Currently at 7:30 am Thursday the Nolin river in my back yard is at 2.13' pushing 243 cfs. Usually takes 24 hours for river to peak. My guess is the river will rise anywhere between 15 to 20' in the next 24 hrs. and around 17,000 cfs with predicted rain fall. Sure hope I'm wrong.

Look ahead to Sunday - it's supposed to be worse than what we're getting today and tonight.

Will be interesting to see what the Ohio River does towards the end of next week...

Rain not as bad as predicted? Currently at 8am Nolin river is at 10.85' and pushing 3850 cfs. need 24 hrs. Before she peaks out. River will drop fairly quick as lake is low. However theres another storm a brewing out west.

This you all might find funny but i can judge how bad the rivers and lakes will flood to a point. Its takes a lot of rain to make water enter the front of my garage at my house. But every time it rains hard enough for water to enter in it the lakes and rivers in my area {bullitt co.} at least in my area flood pretty bad. Especially salt river. I got quite a bit of water in my garage last night. And now that the ground is saturated and more comming....chocolate lakes and rivers i would say. And that @#@#'s cause the weather is just now getting to where we can fish some. Later jc

From what i saw on tv southern ky had worse storms than northern ky but ky lake is so big it takes longer to get to flood stage. But it will be on the rise for a while....good luck in your tourney...jc

I'm with you on that one as the ground sure didn't soak it up. Still watching Nolin rise and like you say the fishing was picking up. Good day for shootnig target practice as the driftwood is moving fairly fast downstream. Sad thing is the white bass were coming up stream Wednesday. There still out there, but relly deep now.

Problem with KY lake is that it is the last one on the TN river. And teh TN River valley is going to get hammered from one end to the other next week. They are predicting some ares to get 10" of rain locally along that area. I look for KY lake to be really high and muddy next week.

They can't hold much in Lake Cumberland, with the dam work and all.
