    Re: Barkley report or conditions

Basically Barkley is muddy from all the rain late last week and I am sure it has not gotten any better with the rain we had last night. That being said, some fish were taken off Barkley over the weekend but more on Kentucky...probably because more folks were fishing Kentucky than Barkley. On Kentucky the creeks and bays range from down right muddy to heavily stained in most of them. Main lake was slightly stained to stained over the weekend. I was not out today but will be back on the water tomorrow. I will start writing my weekly report for Ky/Barkley this week...probably do one on Wednesday evening..if not I will certainly have one up Thursday night which is when I normally do my weekly report.

Bite after the rains this weekend was not bad. Some nice fish taken on suspending jerkbaits, lipless crankbaits and meduim running crankbaits on Ky. A 7.5 was big fish in the Murray State College Invitational this weekend (caught by one of my UK Bass Team members: Cory York). I also saw that a 10 lbs big girl was taken way down on the south end on Saturday.
