barren river lake ramp?

It's a good ramp. At summer pool you can launch easily, at winter pool a small jon boat is about it. Right now the water is going to be fast and probably going to reach summer pool soon due to heavy rains.

Thanks for the help I'm fishing tournment down there the middle of April and wanna cut down on how much gas I use pre fishin I would say the lake will be plenty full by then thanks again

Drove to the Browns Ford Ramp today to satisfy my curosity. Water is out of the river banks and rising which means you could launch most boats, but water is very swift, muddy and everything you can imagine is coming downstream, trees, trash and general garbage. I saw two guys launch a jon boat who said they were going to see if the catfish were biting. Given the wind, water conditions, the current, and the trees, I would not launch there at this time. As I said I watched them launch and they did put on any life jackets. In my way of thinking, it was not one of the best decisions.
