yea sure i dont care, i threw everything in the book at them yesterday, but caught it on a small jerkbait.
Hit the lake today and while it is fairly muddy it is very fishable. Didn't tear them up but caught several crappies. Some real shallow and some deep. All on jigs.
Does anyone know of some good largemouth areas? I've heard it's a great lake for bass, however I always fish for crappie. I am looking for starting points or some things to look for. Do the fish hold near ledges? Are the fish in the river channels or creek channels?
good luck. you can have it. after today, i give up. i dont have the recipe for dirty cold water...
I have heard it is horrible up there right now. I am sure with this weekend's rains it might get even worse. How close is the water to normal spring/summer pool now? I was up there a couple of weeks ago and was told it was at normal winter pool. It seemed at least 7' shallower than normal fishing conditions for spring. I was getting readings of 44 degrees then. Doesn't seem as though it has warmed too much.
water is up some, but still cold. was colder than that this morning. i hit about 4 pieces of wood or more. water in the river is crap.
We found temps from 43 to 44.5.
lake is still cold as hell.back down to 42. im done. 5 times , 0 bites. im sure some have this down, but im out. might try again next year, but staying inside or working is starting to sound better. i actually came home early today and went to WORK. lol screw that lake when its cold
Just drove over and checked out Lickfork. The water there looks good.
