I've read so many times that they start heavy feeding in March but I have NEVER had any luck jugging until the last week of April and early May. I know someone will say "they've gone under" by then...on the nest...but I've had no luck any earlier.

Don't mean to be off-topic...but I'm referring to catfish in general, not flatheads (never flatheads actually). All my experience has been on Taylorsville. I might try it once or twice this month again just for the sake of it. I'm more interested in finding them in a deep hole while the water is still cold and drift fishing over it.
