Why the Miami Heat won't win anything...

They have lost 4 in a row.
They are 1-6 in their last 7 games.
They gave up a 24 point lead to the Magic.
They were blown out by the Spurs.
They can't beat the Bulls, Celtics, Magic or any other elite team in a 7 game series.
They CHOKE in the clutch (1-16 field goals with less than 10 seconds in the game with a chance to tie or take the lead)
They can't play defense worth a plug nickle. Case in point could be found in todays game against the Bulls in the 3rd quarter. Derrick Rose, all 6'3" of him, going 1 against 2, the 2 being Lebron James, 6'8", and Chris Bosh, 6'11", and Rose gets a layup against these 2 defenders in the open court. Next time down the court and it is Rose going 1 on 2 against James and 6'4" Dwayne Wade and again Rose takes them to school and gets a layup. Rose and the Bulls want it more. The Heat are waiting for teams to roll over and play dead against them and that is not going to happen. The only saving grace for the Heat is that they will play New York or Philadelphia in round 1 of the playoffs but then will get bounced in round 2. The Heat coach gets fired, Pat Riley comes out of retirement next year to coach the team and they will still stink.

ESPN reported that the Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra said the "players were reduced to tears in the locker room after the loss to the Bulls today". Somebody get me a Kleenex and cry me a river that runs all the way to South Beach.

They need a white guy raining 3's like the bulls did when they dominated. Paxson and Kerr were the silent weapons that blew the doors off of teams when they worried about Jordan, Pippen, Cartwright, Rodman, Grant and the others.

Just makes me wonder if the Heat continue to loss and they fire the coach who would they come looking for? I don't know if Riley would come out of retirement. Just a thought.

It will be Riley for sure. If they didn;'t hit the winning streak a little bit back I think he was ready to come out anyway. Spoelstra is a good x and o guy, but doesn't know how to handle these stars. If Riley took over early in the season they probably win it all, but most likely too late for this year. It takes more than just x ando guy to win with this many superstars, you have to be able to convince these guys to put their ego's aside for the good of the team. It can be done, look what coach K did with the olympic team with these three plus Kobe.

I've said it before and I'll say it again Lebron James is the most overrated basketball player in history. He has individual talent abound but when the game is on the line he CHOKES every time.

That my friends is what sets the good players away from the great players. Lebron James couldn't have carried Michael Jordon's luggage back in the day. Lebron looks for somebody to pass to MJ drained it on you and smiled.

5 in a row now is what I saw on ESPN.
With the Heat's next game being at home against the Lakers.

    This could get very interesting.
