    Ky Lake 3-18 thru 3-22

Any opinons on how the fishing and water comditions will be during that time period. It looks like things will settle down a little next week as far as big rain makers. I guess they will be pulling water all week. What effect will that have? It's a five hour drive for me. Help me make up my mind. Go, or not to go! That is the question.

HI.... I will be down there during the same time period! LOL. I too hope th weather really settles down a bit. I am using a guide on blood river saturday, and spoke to him yesterday, he said that black crappie are being taken in some decent numbers but it is still a little slow due to the cold rain and high water levels. Hw stated that water is being drawn down at a fast rate as well.

    Anyway, good luck.

Good luck to you as well. I'll be on the north end looking for those green fish. A great guide (Dave) once told me that mid March was the best time for the big bass and I sure would like to hook into a few. I just affraid the conditions won't be good.

I too will be north............got some magic spots on KY that I hope to stick some brownfish.

Then got some spots on Barkley around Devils Elbow....that I hope to HAMMER some greenfish.

Then some more areas mid lake on KY........hopefully for some greenfish.

Then some north Barkley spots.........I just might have to stay down there ALL MONTH..........

    Wohoo............it's about to get good.

The water level on Kentucky Lake is still rising. They are dumping a lot of water through the dam but there is more water coming in than going out. The best site, that I have found, for watching the lake levels is http://www.tva.gov/lakes/kyh_r.htm this will give you the predictions for the next couple of days. Take the predictions at what they are. They are only predictions. They are predicting a little over summer pool by Friday.
