    Re: Nolin this weekend

Nolin right now is 5 foot above summer pool and is going to rise even more after this last soaking we just got. It probably muddy with tons of debris floating. My opinion would be to reschedule that trip. Wax area usually holds a bunch of debris. But if you go i would be very careful and take your time getting from spot to spot--later jc

    Re: Nolin this weekend

Thanks for the safety tips, all were very good. I was hoping to get some suggestions on what to do when the water levels will be up as much as they are. Ive never fished in the these types of conditions so I'll take any advice.

As the other guys have said, be careful...sure to be a lot of debris. As far as suggestions for fishing, it's hard to say. Usually fishing below the previous lake level (depth and distance from the bank) can produce, but the water has been rising pretty steady the last few weeks. I'd say bright colored cranks or contrasting jigs/shaky heads will be your best bet. Hard to say though...good luck regardless. Btw, I'd look at putting in at Moutardier, may not have as much debris.

I would use these baits....crappie [bright colored crappie jig with a minnow. Bass i would use a bright colored spinnerbait with a big colorado blade perferably blades painted bright color too. Bluegill same setup as crappie except tip with a waxworm. Good luck jc

    Re: Nolin this weekend

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like my best bet might be to throw a 2 oz sinker and hopefully i hit one on top his noggin. Fishin will be tough by all means, but at least Ill get to get out on the water for the 1st time this year and see how the boat is runnin. The 12 oz buds should produce back at camp if the fish don't.
