Rutgers got HOSED!!!!!

The absolute worst officiating I have EVER seen in the final few seconds of the game. Rutgers down 1 point and St. Johns shooting free throws. The free throw is missed and St Johns player obviously came over the back to force the Rutgers player to lose the ball out of bounds and no foul call. Ball to St Johns they inbound and get foulded. The player makes 1 of 2 to put St Johns up by 2. Rutgers in bounds to ball and throw it just past half court and St Johns breaks it up and the St Johns player first walks no call, then steps out of bounds with 1.7 seconds left no call and heaves the ball into the stands no call. The officials absolutely put their whistles in their pockets and completely lost control of the game. I guess the Big East brass decided long ago they wanted a St Johns / Syracuse game in the Garden tomorrow. Pathetic Officiating cost Rutgers a chance at a victory. I am still trying to understand if a foul is a foul 2 seconds into the game then why is a foul not a foul with 2 seconds left in the game?

Selection Sunday should be very easy. Either The Big East is the Greatest Basketball Conference in America or the most over-rated. South Florida and their 3-15 Big East record and 10-22 overall record takes out Villanova, Rutgers and their 5-13 Big East record and 15-17 overall record take St John to the limit. Either put them all in or just let the conference tourney champion in the big dance. They may have 6 teams in the Elite 8 or only 1, who knows.

I've said on this site before how terrible Tim Higgins has become. Over the last year or two he has hosed alot of teams including mine, one in particular sticks out from last year at West Virginia on a out of bounds play that cost Louisville the game. He is about a 112 years old now and CAN NOT keep up. He also drinks like a fish, you could light a cigarette on the end of his nose. They work five games a week and the old drunk fart was standind there with his thumb in his arse and acted like he didn't see a thing, then jogged off the floor to avoid contraversy.

Officiating this year has been exceptionally bad and I've really noticed it in the BE conference. They work too many games and some of them are just too old to keep up with today's kids and style of games played.

South Florida beating a sliding Villanova team which has been on a slide for the last three weeks has absolutely NOTHING to do with the BG being good or bad, anybody can beat anybody on a given night. Villanova fell from the top 25 this week for a reason they are not shooting the ball well at all.

I can't understand all the BG hate this year??????

IMO they should put in all 16 teams, we can be the East Region, play the games at MSG and do away with the Big East tournament.

MHall, want me to make you sick. My brother-in-law has been in NYC since Monday and has session tickets to the entire tournament. He called me yesterday to tell me what happened in the St. Johns game....from the Garden! I guess I should have went to one of the best law schools in the country.Then I could afford that trip as well!
