How's cumberland? Any green fish or brown ones. biting?
there is pretty much any kind of water you want to fish from downright muddy and 48 degrees to slightly stained and 52. some parts of the main lake have alot of debris as well as some of the creeks but you can still run as long as you can shut down with short notice because you will round a bend and there it is. im not going to tell you what to throw but i will tell you there is a fair amount of bait and it is fairly shallow.....the rest is up to you....good luck, be careful.
Thanks nut. Just what I wanted to hear.
Where are the warmer stained parts?
your welcome jig.
brandon, you just have to look for the stained water, you can go in one creek and find it , go to another creek and find MUD ! to give you an idea, the cove behind jtown marina houseboat rental has great water, while the cove to the right of the causeway looks like chocolate milk?????? i dont know , it is what it is....just keep looking.
if i went it would be my first trip down there in my boat, which only has a 25 hp on it so i dont think it would be wise to try to traverse the lake to look for clear water, im just trying to figure out some place to go..

Be careful if you go. We caught 3 stripers and 2 walleyes this morning before ending the day with a busted prop.
oh no, hate to hear that !
yeah, it *****. just bad luck. 3 small stripers released as well as 1 undersized walleye. We kept 2 17" fish. At least dinner was good.
I probably should clarify....we kept walleyes not stripers as the stripers were all below 24"
hahaha... i knew what you meant lol
