I feel the CMC jackplate is the safest:

Most competitor jackplates are held together by a small single bolt on the hydraulic arm.
CMC is held together by four very large bolts.
It may not mean anything to you now, but if you hit an underwater obstruction, those extra bolts could be the difference between life and death.
