The Jimmer Fredette show put up 52 points. Jimmer beat Penn State by 16 and Wisconsin by 19 all by himself. I know the Big 10 is the Big 3 plus 7 but this is ridiculous. Wisconsin, the 3rd best team in the Big 10, can't score more than 33 points against Penn State. Penn State's leading scored had 9 points and only 5 players scored and THEY WON THE GAME. Penn State shot 33% from the floor and 25% from 3 pt range and THEY WON THE GAME. Wisconsin shoots 29% from the floor, 9% from 3 pt range and 33% from the free throw line and only lost by 3. Somebody please cut a hole in the bottom of the bushel basket. I guess they were still shooting free throws granny style and all dunks were illegal as well. Purdue goes down to Michigan State, Ohio State overtime against Northwestern. If this is the best the Big 10 can put on the floor then somebody tell me how it is ranked the number 2 conference in america. PATHETIC

UCONN by 25 against the Cards.
Truth be told about it, UCONN is one of the teams that I dislike the most in college basketball. They are another team that have a coach who broke the rules but the NCAA, staying as stupid as they are, suspend him NEXT season. If Louisville had a different coach, than Benedict Pitino, I would have no problem rooting for them espcially since one of their better players, Preston Knowles, is from the same high school that I graduated from in Clark County.
Explain something to me Woody. Why is Pitino considered "Benedict" or a traitor in your eyes? I have never understood that. He didn't leave UK for U of L, he left to take a great opportunity in the NBA. When that didn't work out, he took the best college job available.
I have ONE major issue with Pitino. The way he treated Michael Bradley. Michael was a recruit that Pitino went to his house and GUARANTEED him that he would be at UK for all 4 years of his college career. Bradley signs and a few days later Pitino bolts for the Boston Celtics. There is no way in this world that the Pitino Celtics deal was done that quick, ownership in the team and all. Pitino flat out lied to this kid. Bradley had made a verbal committment to attend Boston College and considered Villanova after backing out of this committment due to something with his teamates and BC and signed with UK. He ended up transfering to Villanova after a couple of years. I am fully aware that coaches make promises to kids all the time. Fully aware that many college coaches don't see some of their kids they recruit graduate for they move on to coach other places. But to promise a kid that you will be there for all 4 years of you college, then bolt before a kid plays his first game when the Boston Celtics deal was in the works is ridiculous. Then he was offered the Michigan job after getting canned by Boston, but chose the Louisville job instead. All this garbage that "Joanne wanted to come back to the bluegrass state and I love the horse racing industry and I love the people of Kentucky and blah blah blah" is the reason that he came back to Louisville is a bunch of RUBBISH. I would have no problem rooting for Louisville with any other coach, except when they play Kentucky, but just can't do it with Benedict at the helm. Yes Kentucky does owe a TON OF GRATITUDE (sp) to Pitino for bring UK back to prominence after Dunken Sutton ran it into the ground, but he could have went to any school he wanted and did not have to come back to the same state 90 miles up the road to one of UK's hated rivals to coach. Truth be told about it, the Louisville fans are probably dissapointed in Pitino's results in his 9+ seasons, 1 Final Four, 2 Elite 8's, Out in the first round 2 times, out in the second round 2 times, NIT 2 times. My bet is Louisville thought they would have a couple of rings by now in his 10th season. 8 seasons at Kentucky, after coming into the program in far worse position than what he walked into Louisville with, Pitino had 2 elite 8's, 3 final fours, 1 Championship, and 1 loss in OT in Championship game (if Nazr Mohammed could make a free throw or if he played DerricIk Andersen they would have won).
I just don't like the guy, so much so, that if Calipari left for another job and Pitino became head coach at UK, I would change teams in who I supported. Indiana, Louisville, Duke and others would move ahead of UK in the pecking order if Pitino came back to UK
Any Louisville fan that is upset with Pitino's performance at Louisville is plainly and simply basketball ignorant. There will never be another run like Pitino had at UK. The game changed shortly after he left. Hardly nobody went to the NBA straight out of high school, and most stayed at least until there sophomore year and many stayed the entire four years.
It took him a couple of years to get things turned around at Louisville but he has gotten them rolling. He did one of the best coaching jobs I have ever seen this season and he is not afraid to change his style or philosophy if it is needed.
As for him taking the Louisville job, why would he go to Michigan over Louisville? He also turned down UNLV. He knew Louisville was most likely going to get invited to the Big east and it was a perfect fit.
As for Michael Bradley, he had to tell him he would be there the entire four years. What else is he supposed to say? Besides, even though he might have been negotiating with the Celtics he was still doing the job UK was paying him to do and he got Bradley on Campus. Btw, wasn't Bradley's dad kind of a problem? Also, bradley ended up being pretty mediocre anyway.

A real stand up guy would tell a kid and his problematic racist dad that he was in negotiations with the Celtics a few days before taking the money and running. Bradley's dad flat out said that Pitino said he was not going anywhere and had no plans on leaving. All the while Pitino was in negotiations to leave. Pretty sorry excuse of a Coach and a MAN if you ask me and Pitino has done nothing to change my opinion of him in either the Coach or the MAN part. Like all the rest, just my opinion
