The husband and I are thinking of taking our 1st KY lake trip for crappies. We're Dale H. folks and wondered if anyone had any pointers for the early spring bite?

wait till the water is 55 and stable in the next ten days or so and the black crappie should be moving shallow. the lake is going to get 6 feet of water sucked out as soon as tva can get it out. water is 51 right now and a little early for the crappie to be shallow and easier to catch.
Thanks much!
