Re: Terrance Jones and L'ville prediction

Agreed I been questioning Jones every since Cal got in his grill earlier in the season. My personal feeling is he realized at that point he had an out to practice his emotional immaturity whenever he wanted. The boy has an "tude" problem. He's got some skills and the body but just doesn't have the mental side working strong yet. JMO....

OUCH!!!! I don't think he is Rodrick Rhodes and I guarantee he will not be exiled to USC in favor of a scholarship for another incoming Freshman. Can you believe that Rodrick Rhodes was a First Round draft pick and actually played 3 seasons in the NBA? He did decent with the Rockets as a rookie but down hill after that. I think he is an assistant coach under Jim O Brien somewhere in the midwest.

Totally agree both are very LAZY in the way they approach the game. Jones needs a littl more of the KITA theory if you ask me, Kick In The Azz.

Re: Terrance Jones and L'ville prediction

You guys must be nuts or something; about like the post that one of you guys posted "things wern't looking good for the UK basketball program, now or in the future" Are you serious??....What a bunch of bull that post was...well writen post...but just a bunch of bull....I told myself I wasn't posting anything again, till after the big dance. But after these comments about Jones...I realized most of you guys don't know what the heck your talking about. After the "I was smoking something comments", and my predictions and posts were "laughable"; I just said what the freck. Jones is having a fantastic season...He is the best Freshman of the year in the SEC (can't believe you guys would even balk on that), maybe the best freshman in the entire country (we will get to see that first hand real soon). He has been a huge leader not only on the court..but in the classroom as well. I could go into many examples...but it would be worth my time or space. I told you guys from the start that Jones, Liggins, and Josh...would bring their game to another level...I was scarfed at. Josh is a force as far as Im concerned;...him spaking the Cards asses that night will always be a great memory for me, for him...and all Cat fans! I posted that they would win 3 out of the 4 last games in the regular season (they did),..again thrown under the bus. I also said that Knight would be the best point guard in the county...again scarfed at big time. Posted they would play FL. in the SEC Champ game...boy that got many of you all ney sayers..and sceptics realy going. Predicted that they would be at least a 4 seed or better in the tournament (made that prediction in early Dec.)...now it looks to be a 2 or 3. Predicited that Coach Cal could be SEC coach of the year..(missed that one..polictics maybe??)...but you know who that went to right..Billie Boy!!!...That was BS as far as I was conserned; I guess becouse he has never won that title (even after winning it all a few times)..that this would be his year...RIGHT. Here we have a coach that is taking a bunch of rookies..and kicking ass, FL. ass!! What a game by Jones!! I guess coach Cal and the cats would have to win it all, for him to even be considered Coach of the year in the NCAA. And my final prediction...was the cats will make it to the elite 8 or better. Common guys...stop living in denial...can you all see the writing on the wall??...We have the abiltiy to just crush teams like Louisville..Florida..Bama...Irish..Long Horns...Nova..Pitt...I'd give anything to see the Cats play the Cards in the big dance (or any Big East team), and beat them again by 15!...Bring on N.C., bring on UConn..bring on Duke...bring on the whole **** Big East! They are supposed to be all that this year right, that Im tired of hearing how great they art. Oh..that brings up anopther prediction that I was laughed at...When it comes down to the elite 8...more teams from the SEC will be there than the Big East...NOW..what about that prediction?...more ney sayers..something to scarf at...another big laugh for ya? Go right on fellas have a big laugh on me...Cats are coming to town..buckle the freck up!

I don't recall you making a lot of those predictions, but whatever. You better hope West Virginia is not your opponent in the second round.

West Virginia played the game of their life and UK could not have played any worse and still had a chance to go ahead late in the game. WVU could not throw it in the ocean and a week later could not throw it in the ocean against Duke when they were blown out. That Blind Squirrel found a nut in their game against UK, and yes they did win the game and were the better team that day. Second round in the NCAA this year, provided WVU wins round 1, the outcome will be a tad bit different because it won't be Wall and Bledsoe jacking up the 3's, it will be Lamb and Knight and I will take the latter 2 against the first 2 in a game of HORSE all day long

Re: Terrance Jones and L'ville prediction

The West Virginia matchup scares me a little....They're a very physical and defensive minded team that will probably give UK some trouble....Brandon Knight, as good of a player as he is, doesn't like being played physical....I think that's a bad matchup for UK and if they shoot the ball anything like they did last year, it'll be the end of the line for UK....that being said I think UK will make it to play OSU and that will be the end of the line.....If you ask me UK and UL both got rough draws....For them both to be brought down to a 4 seed and get the top 2 seeds in the tournament in the third round is a bit harsh....but one thing's for sure, if you want to be the best you have to beat the best...bottom line

If UK plays WV they get beat by 5 in a close one. As Steven said physical play will not bode well for UK and they will get in foul trouble. No depth is gonna be Ky's downfall, not hatin just calling what I think will happen.

Re: Terrance Jones and L'ville prediction

Can't disagree with the offense part.....but I don't think UK will get in foul trouble against WV....They don't have a lot of guys that can take you off the bounce....Flowers can but Bryant and Mazulla (sp) aren't the type to get in the lane and draw fouls...And Mitchell is a shooter...I'm gonna say UK by 6 if that winds up being the matchup....always a lot of 5 12 upsets in the tournament so don't be surprised if you UK winds up playing Clemson....they showed a lot fire power in the ACC tourny but are very streaky and could wind up being doomed by their extremely poor free throw shooting
