Beaver Creek lake 3/12

this was my first trip down there, the water temps are still in the 40's and muddy. the wind was blowing hard, hard enough that a 52 thrust lb trolling motor would barely pull my 16 foot aluminum boat into the wind. Im pretty sure i threw everything in my bag with one hit on a black colorado spinner and my partner also got a hit on a bluegill colored rattle trap. other than this there was no good news. not really a fan of the lake, that trip was probably a first and a last.

If you like catching bass in numbers then go back in April or May. When the weather is warm and the cold snaps are few and far between.
