Engine trouble

I have a 98 Johnson 150. Starts and takes off fine but when I'm topped out it on the water, it feels like it's starving for gas and burps a little then shuts down. Restarts just fine after that. Happens only when motor is full throttle. Wanted to know if anyone else has had that problem and if so, what the problem was. Figured it was needing a carburator adjustment...

sounds like a fuel delievery problem...check or change filter first

Also check fuel line for any kinks.

Also check fuel lines for sucking air. At full throttle the is a lot of vacuum force on the lines and if air gets in there you will have problems. Check connetions are thight and any o-rings are in good shape.
