    Walden Creek

I fished Walden Creek over the weekend - in Servierville, TN - just about 10 minutes from Pidgon Forge. Caught 4 rainbows and 3 browns, as well as a 4lb smallmouth in just over 4 hours. This was my first time fishing and Smokie Mountain streams - can't wait to go again.

Hey, great report. I have fished around Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, alot. Not sure where you are talking about. Where did you park? No holes or anything-just wondering how to get to that stretch of river.

The creek ran around the base of the mountain my cabin sat on. From Pigeon Forge, turn at light #3, wears valley road. Take this for a few miles, then turn on Walden's Creek road. You will now be running parallel to the creek. There are many cabins and RV stops where you can get access to the creek. There is some farm land that backs up to the creek as well, you could always ask the owner about fishing on their land. If you continue down Walden Creek rd, you will come to N Clear Fork Rd. This comes to the community my cabin was in, Shagbark. The portion of the creek I fished was inside the community. Unfortunately, it is gated so you would need a parking pass to access this area. Hope this helps!

By the way, the rental company I used was Cabins For You. Got a very nice 2 bed 2 bath for $300 for the entire weekend. If you are looking for a place to stay I'd recommend checking them out. The cabin we stayed in was called Cozy Bear.

Thanks for the information. I might try that. I have fished in the past around the old milll resturant and done very well. Just park at the park behind it and you have access to a ton of river. You helped me out and I appreciate it. I love small stream fishing. I like to keep three or four trout or maybe a few redeyes just to eat but, other than that, it's mostly catch and release when I fish these streams.
