I caught it under the water.

The state lifted the horsepower limit on the lake. will be there real soon.
I figured this story was false from the beginning. State and local news don't report much on fishing. BUT, if a state record LM is actually caught and confirmed, the state and local news stations will be all over it... We'll all know if and when it happens.
It's not false I caught it and weight it on my Zebco De-lair and released it, did not have a camera, so no photo.
Where the H is Malone

My wife caught one at Malone this last Saturday, 14lb 1 oz, no it wont go down as a record because one would have to let it die; she got 4 photos with it, measured it, 30 3/4" long, and weighed it, then she released it. She doesn't care about being recognized for a record, she cares that it goes back to the lake and lays some eggs. Why not let such a magnificient fish survive?Has anyone heard that a 14+ largemouth was caught/weighed in at Lake Malone this past weekend? A co-worker of mine phoned with this news this evening. I know how easily rumors get started so I was searching for any verification. I have predicted that Malone would produce the next record, but I was hoping it would be mine.
Thanks
Can we see pictures of the critter? My wife caught one at Malone this last Saturday, 14lb 1 oz, no it wont go down as a record because one would have to let it die; she got 4 photos with it, measured it, 30 3/4" long, and weighed it, then she released it. I second that motion, please post the pics.
I am new to this site and am still trying to figure out how to download a picture of my wife's fish from a sony memory stick to this thread. I added the picture to my profile picture, see if you can see it there, if you can't, maybe someone can tell me how the heck to add a picture to this thread. As for the one's who say "I don't believe you" that is your free will and that doesn't bother me in the slightest. The best I can do for you is show you a very clear photo of the fish, not a poor quality grainy Bigfoot type photo and let you see it and judge for yourself. Like I said, she doesn't care about being recognized for any kind of record anyway she thinks the point of letting a nice fish die and haul it in somewhere to "prove it" is just ego driven and pointless, she says "that's a guy thing." Anyway, I am more excited about her catch than she is, she enjoyed the experience of catching it and we are going to our annual fishing trip to Santee Cooper, SC and she is looking forward to READING while I fish!
You can get a good berkley scale at WalMart. Maybe you had it on kg?I am new to this site and am still trying to figure out how to download a picture of my wife's fish from a sony memory stick to this thread. If the scale was on kg and it said 14.1, 2.2lbs/kg = 30+lbs.
