The big old Pop-R's with the rattle - I know they are selling some on e-bay that are the same size but don't rattle. The new ones don't feel, sound or fish like the old ones . . . and since I can't replace my old ones I will only fish them where no fish will bite them!

If memory serves me right didn't they do away with the pop-r all together at one time then they brought it back? One I would like to see back was the Bass Magnet, do you remember them?
[QUOTE=dac244;445865]If the bass magnet you are talking about looked like a craw fish crank bait, they are still being made. They are called shrimp magnet now. Go here to see them. http://www.normanlures.com/products/view/6/50The big old Pop-R's with the rattle - I know they are selling some on e-bay that are the same size but don't rattle. My dad used to get these double blade buzz baits from a friend. The guy made em for years but passed away about five years ago. There's nothing else like em, they just hit the water like they had someplace to be, running, and the bass loved em. Most productive buzz bait I ever fished.
Terminator 3X fluke in blue glimmer. If anyone has any I'll buy em all! They are doing away with the Lucky craft flat mini protune series. That is one of my favorite cranks.

Yea that is them I also found them at one other place online thanks for the heads up. The 1/8 oz use to be a great little stream bait on a ultra light rig.
My Dad had a friend who used to make a spinnerbait called the limberneck. It had a small strand cable between the eye and teh spinners instead of the ridgid wire... it makes wicked vibration as it is retrieved... but they are no longer made...
I had a few limbernecks I think they was made by brothers bait co here in louisville.
.
Limbernecks took off like fire, You had White Clouds (Berry Gibson RIP), FisherMans General store, the 2 brothers had a shop on south preston, who sold out an opend the LawnMower shop on Preston, there was a tackel place went in on Preston, ownner had a Qucik Stop also. Back then Burnett Brothers keep all in nice rigs, an wanted the fisherman happy....(wonder why lol)......You could get on Preston highway an find a liars club every couple miles....Limbernecks were fairly easy to duplicate....
I know Jennifer Schultz, who caught the 14lb Indiana state record bass. She caught it on an old, five-or-six-inch Pop-R that had been found the previous day floating in the Ohio River. She complains that they don't make that size anymore. You're right that it's a great bait! The big old Pop-R's with the rattle - I know they are selling some on e-bay that are the same size but don't rattle.
