    high water + muddy fishing

with all the lakes being way up and somewhat muddy right now, what do you all find is working best? are you going up in the new flooded trees or do you think they are staying out in the prespawn patterns right now.

I would say a little of both right now. I think they are staying off the banks, in around 10ft of water or so....but when the water temps rise a few degrees, they are moving up into the flooded stuff. After this next week of 70+ degree day temps, and 50 degree night temps...they should be pushing shallow! Chartreuse spinner baits with big gold Colorados, jigs, and cranks should be the ticket then. Good luck!

I would say a little of both. With the temps warming this weekend and weekend combined with a full moon, I would venture to say some of the saul cows will start to wonder. If u find bait, don't wonder too far away.

Cranks and spinners, but I'd keep a jig or creature bait close by. Make multiple casts from different angles.

I usually start shallow and work my way out. I have tournament in a few days and I plan on flipping a jig or a little beaver, backed up with a spinner bait and a shallow running square bill crank. I'm going to find the warmest water I can, spend the day in that area and pick it apart
