It took a little over 11 pounds to win a renegade tournament this past weekend. It sounds a little tough there. I saw serveral that did not weigh a fish.

Getting out on the water tomorrow, supposed to be a nice day. Was thinking of returning to Malone...but was curious how Nolin was looking around Wax and up stream? Anybody catching any fish anywhere right now? Any info would be much appreciated...just dying to feel a tug on the end of my line!

From what I've seen and heard, I'd go anywhere but Nolin right now. To add to what Hydrojunkie said, the big fish in that tournament was only 3.5 lbs. And I'm sure there were over 100 boats that fished it. I'm gonna hold off until after the weekend when the lake temps have risen a little more. From my own experience, I can usually catch a few fish in cold water. I can usually catch a few fish in muddy water. But I have never caught fish in cold muddy water. Then again, I'm no KVD either. Good luck.
I too am no KVD, lol! I guess that makes my decision for tomorrow an easy one....Lake Malone it is. At least there I know the water condition is much better than anywhere else, and it is small enough that I can really cover the lake in a day. Thanks guys!

Be heading out up river from wax looking for them white bass and walleyes. River getting closer to the green side at my place, however it wouldn't surprise me if I end up 20 -30 miles from wax tomorrow looking for current and eddie pools. River is down to around 5' high finally. You won't have any problem heading up river from wax as lake is higher than summer pool. Plenty of water to run. was down there last week and most log were on bank saw a few but mainly clean sailing water temps were high 40's. Maybe you should head up stream?
