    DEER

Just saw a roadkilled deer not far from my house, it was a buck as it still had a full rack on him. Anyone else ever see deer with antlers this late? I saw one in Ohio co a few years back in april the had a full had rack but it was also very messed up looking, but the one I saw today appeared normal. I live in Barren co and this deer was in the city limits of Glasgow. Just looks weird that it still has a rack.

Bobby, I think in years when they have a good mast crop they tend to drop their antlers later. Not sure where I heard this, but it came from somewhere.

No problem Bobby, not sure if that is the entire answer or not. Might get MHall to chime in, he is an avid shed hunter so I am sure he has some thoughts on this.

I saw a big buck around this time last year tailing some does with his nose to the ground, still had his rack and still rutting.

I saw one still packing here at my place in Feb,haven't saw any since though.
