How are the stripers doing? Shouldn't they be turning on soon?

sounds alot like a broken record i know....water temps range from high 40s to 53 in one creek on a south facing sunny bank. some creeks have very good looking water while some have mud. the lake is dropping and some of the debris is hanging on to the shore, there is not as much debris floating as there has been but caution is still the best way to run. caught LM bass in the trees on jerkbait and live bait, not many keepers though. waiting for the mainlake pockets to turn on, they still havent for me, would like to know if anybody has had any luck in the backs of the mainlake pockets, its awesome when it does start.
crappie fishing is excellent in the trees with some absolute giants, last several trips in a row we have had crappie that pushed or were over the 18 inch mark, once again most are coming on live bait, a few on brown panfish tubes 4-10 feet depending on the slope of the bank (deeper bank=deeper fish).
i try to give a report on what i know every thursday, hope it helps.
Much appreciated.

Is there any particular creek better for crappie. Been thinking about trying to find some at Lake C.
Thanks for any info.
tim, i lost all cell phone service and couldnt call you, how big were those 2 fish you boated right after i talked to you?
Hey Jeff,
Wondered what happened to ya! Yeah, one was 5 1/2 and the smallmouth was 6-1. Was that 5 the biggest you had?
Later,
Tim
yeah the 5 was the biggest, mike had 2 more just over 4 and the brighter the sun got the smaller the LM got, the crappie slowed WAY down too. did you stay on em? i will be in the same spot so i wont have cell service in the morning , if your going stop by.
