The Big 10 has 11 teams (Still cracks me up they haven't changed the name, especially since they are one of them academic conferences). 7 teams from the Big 10 64% (63.64%), so the Big East percentage is higher, so yes I would say 11 out of 16 is slightly higher than 7 out of 11.
After the first round the Big 10 is 4-2 with a winning percentage of 66.67% and the Big east is 7-4, a winning percentage of 63.64% which is slightly lower than the Big Ten(11). Starting with the second round, the percentages are going to change because there are two games, where Big East teams have to play each other, so a Big East team is going to win two games, but also lose two games. To my knowledge two teams from the same conference have not met in the second round since the tourney expanded to 64 teams.
The SEC has a 40% winning percentage after the first round, but we already knew the SEC was not that great anyway.
