we went in May of this year, it was kinda slow the first couple of days but got really good...those crappie in there are huge!!! I'm not sure what they will be doing this time of year but we had success fishing around the bridges with minnows...best part about that place is how friendly the locals are, just ask them what the crappie are doing...good luck
