Tim, Tim, Tim...
I know that you're just joshin...but brother please...
I can certainly ride your train of thought on "objectivity", because there is no shortage of UK Fans lacking that trait when it comes to discussing basketball. However, please re-evaluate the size of "Big Blue Nation" when you consider the number of teeth and the years of education that lives within it. You've been to the rodeo before, so you know better than make that statement!
I can wear a UK shirt and walk through any airport in this country and generally get a "GO CATS" from somebody...even in Louisville. I'm on a golf course in Austin Texas a few months ago, wearing a UK golf shirt, and some dude that lived on the course starts yelling "C-A-T-S" and directs my attention to the blue flag flying off his deck. I'm UK Alumni and read about the gatherings of other UK Alumni in all corners of the World to watch games. I was sitting in a little dive casino on a Carribean island the size of Bullitt County, watching a UK game on satellite...I start yelling, right about the time some dude across the room started yelling, and we discover that we're both UK fans. He was from Maryland. You know, just as well as I know, that UK fans are numerous...they are everywhere...and they are from all walks of life. You also know, just like I know, that it all grew from a rural/agricultural state like Kentucky, with no professional sports, where folks got behind the program in the early years it was successful when they needed something positive to latch on to. That transcended generations and gave rise to what is arguably the largest, most passionate, most dilusional, unobjective, and raucous college basketball fanbase in the country. Aside from horses and bourbon, what else do we really have to pound our chests about?
P.S. If gold teeth count as missing teeth, your fanbase is missing just as many as ours.

I kid, I kid...
