If it were me I'd take "profits" and "no titles" over just "no titles", if we're talking recent history. A lot of stuff has happened since 1998. Louisville has been to the final four since then. Indiana made it to the title game since then.............George freakin' Mason made it to the final four since then.
Wait, but..but but...wait they have seven titles, they are the rgeatest team of all time, there is no possible way that lesser schools have been to the FF and Uk hasn't...are you kidding me, it is a birthright for all fans of the Kayuts!
If that does not prove my point EXACTLY that was posted as I was typing mine. Game Set Match!!!! The real sad part is there are Louisville Fans that can't stand the fact that UK is the greatest basketball team in their own state, can't stand the fact that U of L will NEVER measure up to UK, can't stand that U of L will NEVER have the fan base (profit or not-profitable) that UK has, can't stand the fact that no matter how hard they try - how much effort they put forth - how much blood sweat and tears that they give - IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH!!!!
One thing is an ABSOLUTE FACT OF LIFE AND CAN'T BE DISPUTEDIf it were me I'd take "profits" and "no titles" over just "no titles", if we're talking recent history. A lot of stuff has happened since 1998. Louisville has been to the final four since then. Indiana made it to the title game since then.............George freakin' Mason made it to the final four since then.
UK HAS A BETTER SHOT OF MAKING A FINAL FOUR IN THE 2011 NCAA TOURNEY THAN LOUISVILLE DOES
i guess uk fans just can`t get over ricky quitting them
Go ask "Ricky", the BIGGEST mistake in his professional career, which he has publicly stated on more than one occasion. To think, He quit on UK and his team quit on him yesterday to the point that he made comments about possibly coaching too long and maybe his time is near and....
I figured this thread would have been short lived with a simple yes or no response from someone.
Considering his age...considering the amount of cash he has, it would be my guess that he probably wouldn't really need to go anywhere else.
I don't think cash drives Pitino. Ego does...... The guy has written books, owns car dealerships, made millions in the NBA and does very well in college ball. What would a guy do after that?? Horses? Women? Oops...He did those too.
I'm looking forward to seeing his son take a college headcoaching job oneday. Can you imagine those two coaching against eachother?? How cool would that be?
