I wouldn't want to be a Pitt fan. They are just like purdue was in the mid 90's when I was there. Dominant in a tough conference thru the regular season but always folded in the tourney early.

I'm happy, sort of, but my bracket took a hit.

The foul on Butler was the nickle dimer but the foul on the Pitt player, who I hear is up for the Nobel Idiot Award, was a no doubter for he hacked the Butler player pretty good across the arm on the rebound. What is the advantage of having the Pitt players even anywhere across half court, much less on the line ready for a rebound, after the first free throw was made?

Did Pitino even accompany the team back to Louisville and help console his team or did he jump on the first thing smoking to the CBS studios?

He let the team go back to Louisville on their own with the assit. coach's.... I believe your right Woody... Pitino will be a new Sports broadcaster for CBS.....Good by U of L ......The grass will most likely be greener on the other side of the fence for sure this time, unlike the Boston Celtic's failure.....

Putting my lopsided feelings aside for Ricky P, but that seems pretty inconsiderate of him towards his team. I think he will pay for that on the recruiting trail. No way he had plans on doing this because unless you lived in Morehead Kentucky and / or attended Morehead State (even then you were hard pressed to pick MSU), I don't think he was on CBS's radar as an in studio guest before the tourney started. Sure does sound- like they got beat, the phone rang and Pitino bolted leaving his team behind. I would be a bit upset, both as a player and a parent of a player on the current roster, and would seriously re-consider my college choice if they are considering Louisville. I have never heard of this.

Where did you hear this? From the people I have talked to he did fly back with the team and Lachlan just said it on WHAS a few minutes ago. Did you read this somewhere Clyde or did you ass/u/me?

I never heard anything about it, that is why I put the question out there. It seems to me that all the "this was the toughest loss in coaching and I am devastated chatter" was just that chatter if he was able to put it behind him and onto CBS so quickly. Whether he did accompany the team or not, he sure seemed to get over it pretty quick.

Exactly what is he suppposed to do? I believe the players are on spring break this week, so it is not like he can have individual instruction or anything. I do expect him to be in broadcasting when he is done coaching, so why not get some more experience while you have nothing else to do. Also, he is being visible which might even help in recruiting.
