Guist lake 3/18-report

Fished from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Lake up about 2 ft. Temp was 50 at 9:00 am and warmed up to 55 by 4:00 pm. Fishing was lousy. Bass would not touch any plastics at all at least for us. We did take minnows and caught 4 crappie and 2 bass nothing over 6 inces long. That lake can be outstanding at times and terrible at other times. I thought with full moon being sat. A front comming in fri afternoon and the day before up in the 70's the fish would be hungry.......wrong ! Oh well ill get em next time. Later jc

Thanks for the report. How stained was the water? Last weekend it was pretty much muddy all over.

Water at the dam was what i would call stained and seemed the father down the lake we went it got muddier.

I was there Fri. also from 10:30 to 5. Managed one hybrid and one bass, both on cranks. The water all the way up the creek was 57 but I couldn't get on anything back there. Caught both fish in the main lake with the temp around 52.

Not feeling too confident about the USA Bassin tourny tomorrow (Sun) but will be there chuckin and windin anyway.
