I was thinking the same thing while fishing this morning, I live here by the lake plus I stay on a houseboat most of the SM season's spring then fall. Thus IM fishing a lot and some area's repeatedly, as a live bait user i catch the same fish several times. I can tell by several distinctions, along with existing hooks an mouth tares, all because the fish was put back.

The O/21 has worked, just wish they would follow up on it with some visibility.

I wish I was where you guys were. We were at Holly Creek and in that area in a day and a half we were only able to scratch out 3 smallies(good size; one 4.5 #) and one large mouth. The water temps were 49-51 most places. We were not even finding fish on the depth finder. Do most smallies go upriver to spawn? I thought they would spawn throughout the lake in all the creek channels.

Stained water seemed to be the ticket. Only pulled one fish out of the clear water.
