I'm a believer in scents of the spray type ,however after trying it on crank-baits I noticed it may have an effected the finish of the bait noticed discoloration and assumed the spray cause it? Only use it on plastics now.

I been using them for years but not for the scent. Bill Dance used to push the stuff and it was sold at Walmart...20 years ago?? Has it been that long??
I use them for making my bait slick when I'm pitchin around vegetation so I don't really care what brand I get anymore but I do like the spray type since it's easier to apply.
I do use (black) dye on my select plastics like tubes for the added appeal of looking like a baitfish. Most small bass or panfish have a black tip to their tail so I can work these fast through the grass and man it looks awesome.

Ha ha I mean who doesn't have a can of wd-40 laying around put it in the boat and try it. Lol I bet the will love it, matter of fact I will spray my plastics this weekend before I use the spike it to see it they still like it!!!Haha...the classic WD40! We used to spray that stuff on our salmon eggs while trout fishing back home in UT...it would outfish regular salmon eggs 2:1.I never thought about spraying it on plastics for bass....I'm going to have to try that....although, it would be hard to spray anything else than spike it chartreuse garlic on my plastics...love that stuff!

I was using the garlic scented pan spray from the grocery. It is like PAM only cheaper. Problem is, can't find the garlic one on the shelf anymore. I have Bang and other brands too. But the pan spray is probably half the price of Bang and you get a bigger can.
Where is the best place to buy scent? BPS? ****'s? Walmart?

I am a firm believer in scent as I use Bang garlic constantly on my jigs. Its a huge confidence factor for me and thats a huge thing. I never thought of the garlic flavored cooking spray but may try it.
I've been a believer in scents for a long time and have been using the Bang Garlic for the past several years. Just yesterday I reccieved my BPS order of two bottles of Yum F2; one garlic and one shad. I thought it might be time to try another scent just to see how effective these are. They advertise the heck out of it. Got a club tournament on Cumberland Saturday and plan on using it down there.
That's a bummer. I have used the same jar of jelly for about 3 years now and still have a half of a jar. With the screw on lid it stays scent strong. It has a vaseline base and stays on the bait in the water. I actually like the smell of it, garlic and anise mix.
