It was my first time to my ponds this season, and it sure felt good to be out there! I just love pond fishing...probably because that is where I learned how to bass fish. Threw my trusty wacky worm and was able to feel that wonderful "tap-tap" many times today. Landed about 20 lms, nothing big, but all around a pound to two pounds...really fun! Also saw the biggest beaver I have ever seen! Looked like a golden retriever it was so big swimming across the pond! Think I need to have a talk with my friends and find a way to have it removed...they are hard on ponds IMO. All in all....a wonderful day!

Speaking of fishing ponds or small lakes. A friend of mine took me to a 5 or 6 acre lake on a horse farm in Woodford Co. on Tuesday. It was unbelievable. he was on one side of the lake and I the other. We caught over 100 bass and the smallest was 2lb and the biggest was 6 lb. They were all good healthy fish and pulled like crazy. We would both be hooked up and would just look at each other and start laughing. I was throwing a strike king spinner bait in sexy shad. It was absolutely one of the best days of fishing I have ever had. I thought I was at ky lake, LOL!!!
