Transducer shield and savor

I just got a Hummingbird 998 si and I was wondering if anyone has used these mounts. For the transducer mounted to the jack plate.

I use them for my 997c. I had to get the bobs jackplate mount then drill it to fit mine. I have a hydro motion jackplate and they dont make a direct mount for it. They are nice and a wise investimate when you consider the price of the transducers.

I have installed one on my boat and a buddies they work great and keep you from having to drill the back of the boat!

By mounying your transducer to your jack plate doesn't that limit you unit to only work or showing anything to only going at a slow speed?
