Anyone been or plan on going to reelfoot lake soon? I was wondering if the fishing has been any good there now. There are alot of deals going on if the fish are biting it may worth the trip.

I've got a couple friends that live on the north end .They have been slaying big crappie the last 2 weeks.

That lake is flat out awesome. Used to go every spring break before college. My dad and I always fished in Blue Basin in the deeper part of the lake this time of year and always caught huge crappie. And when we couldnt find crappie, we would go sit in the small canals along the weeds and catch endless amounts of 2-3 pound catfish. I would love to go back soon. If you go, let us know how you do.

What kind of deals did you find down there? Where at. We've been the last five years in the spring and are going to KY lake this year.

All the resort seem to have deals all year. Three or four days and night boat,ice and bait for a reasonable price. Very stumpy lake don't advise taking you own boat unless you know the lake. Most package deals are higher during the crappie run. Bing up Reelfoot lake on you computer and it should list all the resort and deals they ghav going. Good luck

Isn't the lake still down? I know they're repairing the spillway and it's been down quite a bit - supposed to be complete this fall, like sometime in November. Curious if maybe that has something to do with the deals? Was there in Janurary duck hunting and it was way down then. Some marinas were dry because of it. Wouldn't hurt to call before you go just to be sure.
