HELP!! Boat trim wont go down

it goes up fine but wont go down. i check the grounds. tap on a few things??????

Should be 2 square black relays on the right side of your engine. Reverse them & it should trim down. If it does replace both as it's a cheap fix. You should be able to hear a clicking noise when trimming if you listen when trimming from motor with cover off.

gong to do that now. where in town at this time can you get that part? if thats the problem

so before i switched any thing i took the cover off and didnt hear any clicking. then i just switched one of them and it wouldnt go up or down but i did click. swiched it one more time to the other one and then it went down not up. So it is relay?

yes, replace the relay, how many prongs does it have? If it is 4 or five most parts stores stock them, take it with you they can match it up.

Replace both while you are into it.

Might want to appy some contact/electrical grease.

got it fixed up. it had 4 prongs got one with 3 and it worked out. thanks alot guys

On my motor there is also a manual override that you can perform with a flat-head screw driver. You turn a screw and the motor lowers by releasing the pressure on the fluid.

Mine froze up one time picking up decoys.
