Baby Brush Hog or 6" Lizard!!
Only have luck with 6" lizard in watermelon for clear to stained and Black with blue tail for muddier water.
Green pumpkin Charmers timber pup. It's the same thing as a zoom baby brush hog but it floats and is loaded with garlic.
Have yet to catch a single fish on C-Rig... but i use zoom brush hogs and 7 inch yum ribbontail worms.. so maybe those are some you shoudl avoid...
I won't say it's my favorite, but it's different and it works:
Light weight carolina rig with a fluke. Egg no larger than 1/2 ounce. 18-24 inch leader of light line. 3/0 or 4/0 blood red hook and a fluke.
Think of it as deep fluke fishing. It looks like a dying fish struggling to get off of the bottom. Twitch it hard enough to get the fluke off of the bottom, let it flutter back down. I especially like to throw it in areas where they've been busting shad.
This is by far the best I have found, and I throw the C-rig alot. I keep a good stockpile of Charmers. If you haven't tried them you should definitely check them out. The really are superior plastics and made by a great guy - who is almost a kentuckian (just across the river in Evansville) - he really cares about the product he puts out.
Anybody use z-man floating lizard?
4" Green Pumpkin Crazy Legs Chigger Craw. If I run out while fishing, I feel like my day is over.
