Last election did teach us that anyone can be elected president. I really don't see how it could get any worse than Obama, but I guess I could be wrong...which I hope I'm not. Hopefully we learned a lesson, as a nation, from electing Obama, given what he has done in the White House and where our nation is today. I just hope that we actually choose a conservative Rep. presidential nominee this year, that is electable. McCain stood no chance in 2008, even with Palin thrown on the ticket. Romney was definitely the best choice, but there is to much of a stigmatism stuck with Mormonism (which I don't understand?). I think Huckabee really destroyed Romney's chances with the evangelical pull he had.
Anyways, I can't say that Trump couldn't win, because anything is possible (point and case...Obama). I just hope that we pick our candidate closely this time around so we can end this mess in Washington.

I don't think Romney's problem was religion at all. More likely his anti-gun stances and Romneycare. I'd even go as far to claim he's a closet liberal.
Trump? I don't trust him. He donated $50,000 to Rahm Emmanual?'s campaign, and i know some will say it's smart business but a sellout is the last thing we need as CIC.
Right now i'd be satisfied to have Hillary as POTUS.
IMO Trump is just getting all the publicity he can. No chance of him being a serious candidate. I would like to see Mr Obama's birth certificate though.
Pawlenty maybe, but I agree he probably doesn't have enough gravitas.
Romney has a shot, he has the looks and the charisma. He's comes off smart and also has a strong fiscally conservative message. I like him better than any of the others so far. Liked him better than McCain in '08.
I disagree that just about anyone could beat Mr. Obama, it's going to take a very good candidate to unseat him. His personal popularity is still pretty high, and he's far better at campaigning than doing the job.
Plus there are entire voting segments Mr. Obama is guaranteed to take without even trying. 97% of the black vote regardless of their political ideology, 100% of the union vote, 99% of the liberal vote, the majority of the Hispanic vote, the majority of voters college age and younger (those who've had their way mostly paid for them so far), and the majority of government employees.
His plea for America to give him more time to change Washington will be powerful. He'll also crow loudly that to vote Republican is to return to the ways of the evil GW Bush. No, I wouldn't count our President out for another term at all. In fact, unless a very strong Republican candidate emerges, we're staring straight down the barrel of another 4 years of Barack Hussein Obama.
Thanks for putting into words what I have been thinking all along...Nobama already has to many "give me" votes from the categories you mentioned. Those people (blacks, hispanics, unions, etc) will vote for him no matter what, just like I'm NOT going to vote for him no matter what, just like when he ran the first time I voted against him regardless of who he was up against (yea...ok, I'm racist, go ahead and call it).I disagree that just about anyone could beat Mr. Obama, it's going to take a very good candidate to unseat him. The sad truth is we have a butt load of people in this country that are for him, that number far outweighs the number of common middle of the road, middle class white Americans like myself. I'm kind of thinking he will be tough to beat. Maybe the correct term isn't that anyone could beat Nobama, but that anyone could do a better job than Nobama???? I would like to think so, but....like someone else posted last week, what does Trump no about fighting wars, striving for world peace, foriegn relations, etc? Granted Trump is a businessman and is way out of my league...but I have been around at least one high powered businessman in my life who would stop at nothing to bring in work for his company...he even went so far as Dubai in trying to get us some work...spent several weeks there, etc. I guess what I'm saying is some of those high falutin' business guys may know more than we realize about foriegn relations.
If memory serves me correct he didn't win by a landslide. He has pounded his Liberal ways in our face while in office and I think some of the Independants will choose better this time.
Whoever runs against him needs to fight for the job not hold back like McCain did.
President Obama and his crew just love all the repubs that are coming out of the closet the more the merrier. Split what vote that worried them right down the middle. Trump's team would reccomend we go bankrupt and start again. Chairman Mao's boys would probably disagree with that tactic.
I think you're wrong on him having the union votes. The union may support him but members of the union have their own votes. My union may send my union dues to him but I won't vote for him and many other hard working union members won't either. We are disgusted with his wealth redistribution S**T!Thanks for putting into words what I have been thinking all along...Nobama already has to many "give me" votes from the categories you mentioned. I am going to make a statement right now. If Trump or Palin are the republican nominee in the next election I will not go to the polls. If this is the best my party can do then it is time for me to rethink a lot of things. Give me Christie of New Jersey or Jan Brewer of Arizona.
I will still go to the polls, but it will be to vote for the best option on the table....whether that is Republican, Democrat, or Independent.I am going to make a statement right now. I agree wholeheartedly that if Hockey-Mom and Scrooge McDuck are the two best cards in the deck, then my party has officially gone to Hell in a hand basket.
SURELY, there is a better choice. I would vote Romney all day long and twice on Sunday before Palin or Trump. I could also give a crap that he's a Mormon.
If somebody doesn't step up, they are going to force me to run.
S-A-N-F-O-R-D Period, 2012. My campaign slogan would be: "I aint afraid to give you five across your lip."
I'm going to write in Reagan.........even DEAD he'd do a better job than the current SOB in office............I am going to make a statement right now. If Trump or Palin are the republican nominee in the next election I will not go to the polls. If this is the best my party can do then it is time for me to rethink a lot of things. OMG....JUST FLIPPIN GREAT.......
If Trump beats Obama, we get fake hair to replace a fake birth certificate.
Okay Palin, for the sake of creditbility, prove they are real.
