LOL it was me with the water pump problem.
I just got an email from Wild Bulletin IDNR and it says that Hoveys Lake and Dogwood Lake are both going to allow larger motors now. There will be a 1- mph speed limit which is faster than the idle only speed limit at Bluegrass F&W area.
But and this is a BIG BUT, they don't want us power loading our boats back onto the trailers at the ramps. So I would suggest that you go up as far as you can go onto the boat trialer in one try and then winch your boat up the rest of the way. IE don't sit there and hit the gas after the boat stops 2 ft short of stopping and try to power up the last few feet using the motor. That digs a big hole at the end of the ramp when the water's down low and causes headaches for all the other boaters trying to launch and recover their boats. IDNR may not like that. Not sure what the penality will be if you power load your boat as the email didn't say. All it say is don't power load your boat as it damages the ramps.
