tville trip with my boys

Went to tville yesterday after the storms with my 6 and 8 year old.Put in at vanburen,no courtesy dock.We ran up to the first riffle of the salt looking for some white bass,no bites plus we got cut off by other boats.We switched to live shiners and nightcrawlers looking for cats.We caught a few small channels near the goodnight bridge.Water was way up in the 60s back there.Decided to find some clearer water on the main lake.We fished a creek around chowning lane for a hour or so.My 8 yo caught 6 lb blue on cut bait.I forgot to check water temp up there but water had a much better color.

The courtesy dock your looking for is up in the woods about 20 feet a couple creeks down from timber creek ..........LOL

No carp,maybe a few jumping but couldnt tell.
