I have heard but don't know if it is true that they have closed the state park ramp for the federation tournament. Is there any truth to that?

well its not just the # of boats, there alot of media, support staff, and spectators filling up the parking lot and using the ramp.

No there isn't. There were maybe 30 or 40 people standing around watching the guys walk across the trailer stage. They were in such a hurry, I think the kids got to see a total of 4 fish. It was disappointing.

There is 7 teams of 12 from the 7 southern states and two guys from South Africa fishing in this tournament. There is 86 total fishermen. It has always been this way, except South Africa used to send a whole team of 12.
So, the tournament has not really shrunk.
You may have been thinking of a different federation tournament.
Ths tournament last three days.

Looks like overall everyone is struggling. Only 4 limits the first day and 11 the second. And if I am reading correctly no one has had a limit both days!
