Childress Pay Lake

Has anyone fished the top two lakes at Childress? If so any luck?

I'll have to try that. i use chicken and strawberry kool-aid. Did you catch them on the bottom or with a bobber, and how deep? when i fish there i usually fish the trophy lake, the upper lakes are new to me.

If you havent already figured it out here is your answers that have helped me most, i use a bobber,and about 3-4 ft down varies on the time and temp, i fish the lake closest to the trophy lake on Saturdays because he stocks it twice on Saturdays once at 8am and another at 8pm 500lbs at a time, . I've had the most luck in the back left corner of the pond in the little cove. The last time i went me and my cousin caught 32 channel cats. Here recently he raised the price on the back lakes from 15 to 17 because he put 3-5 15lb flathead cats in both small lakes and if you catch one you can either take it to him and he will give you a dollar a lb or you can keep it.
