Bobby Knight is a sick man. I feel sorry for him in a way because he has trashed what would have otherwise been a legacy with his repeated antics and strange behavior. I stopped caring what he said like 15 years ago.

Amen to that. I can appreciate what he has done with college bball but that doesn't give him a pass on doing anything or saying anything he wants. He's an old fool plain and simple. He makes alot of money and rubs elbows with some bigtime sports figures but it doesn't give him the green light to make bigmouth foolish statements. He should be put out to pasture.

That's because in a way he's like Bill Parcells. I saw Parcells interviewed once and he said something like, "I don't know much about ANYTHING in life, other than football." He was talking about life in general, and relating to other people, and he actually felt bad about it, felt like it made him less of a person. I was actually impressed, because at least he was man enough to own up to it. I think Knight is much the same, except he'd never admit it. He doesn't know anything about how to conduct himself as a gentleman, show consideration for others, or how to be anything but an a-hole in general, all he knows is basketball.

In a statement reflective of his weaselly character, Knight says that his error was that he "made it personal to UK and its players". Not that he lied, of course. Gotta love the non-apology apology.

Simple. Bobby Knight is an ass. Always was, always will be. He did some great coaching and humanitarian things, but did equally classless and stupid things. His uncontrollable temper made him a poor example of sportsmanship, and an embarrassment to college sports.

A kid who threw a chair out on the floor would be thrown off the team right behind it, but not ole Bobby, he was a legend. Bull.
