I think Jones is gone for sure and I say Knight and Liggins are 50/50,even though Knight will be a high first tround pick.

All say they are not going to hire an agent. I would say Jones and Knight are gone but Liggins will be back

If Liggins goes pro, it will be to play overseas because he does not handle the ball well enough for the point and does not shoot it well enough to play the off guard. He would have to be the "Chuck Hayes" of the backcourt and do a lot of things pretty good with the exception of having more grit and determination than the next guy but I don't think he is from the same mold as Chuck.
Knight and Jones go somewhere between 5 and 15. But who knows as long as NBA execs like Danny Ainge are still employed after making BONEHEAD moves like trading Kendrick Perkins and putting your faith in the walking wounded identical twin Oneal brothers (who have spent more time injured than ME), Knight could be 1, Jones 2, Liggins 3, Enes 4, Jorts 5 and Elnutsmalljaws 6
Ouch....If they all stay in the draft it could be a long year for all of us UK fans next season.....Liggins had nothing to lose by declaring....He can go to all the mini camps and see how he stacks up against the competition...If he sees and hears that he's not good enough, which I assume will be the case, he can come back for his senior season....Knight and Jones declaring almost says for sure that they're gone....With all the projected top picks like Sullinger and Barnes coming back to school, I think Knight slides into the top 5 and that's hard to turn down....I honestly think Jones has the most to gain by coming back to school and dominating next year....Of course for that to happen he would have to atleast pretend like he wants to be on the floor
With Lamb coming back plus 4 blue chip studs coming in plus Miller, I think they will be just as good and maybe a tad bit better next yearOuch....If they all stay in the draft it could be a long year for all of us UK fans next season.....Liggins had nothing to lose by declaring....He can go to all the mini camps and see how he stacks up against the competition...If he sees and hears that he's not good enough, which I assume will be the case, he can come back for his senior season....Knight and Jones declaring almost says for sure that they're gone....With all the projected top picks like Sullinger and Barnes coming back to school, I think Knight slides into the top 5 and that's hard to turn down....I honestly think Jones has the most to gain by coming back to school and dominating next year....Of course for that to happen he would have to atleast pretend like he wants to be on the floor
Sounds like another disgruntled U of L fan, cause Calapari got another recruit U of L wanted.....
Seems to me Central Florida just keeps putting the knife in U of L's back just as much as UK is doin it.....lol![]()
Blue chips don't win national titles in one year....It has been proven over and over and over again that the teams who win it have upperclassmen leadership....They don't have to be seniors but sophomores and juniors with basketball IQ win national titles....Not to mention UK isn't going to have an inside presence this year like they've had the past 2 years with Cousins and Jorts.....Eventually Cal is going to have to build some kind of backbone for this team instead of having players come in and leave every single year....When he was at Memphis he got the top talent but he also had those veterans that held the team together...
Good post Steven, I still think they can be as good as last year but I like you have said all along that winning the big show will not happen with one and done's and so much turnover. Also Ky has been very lucky the last two years getting talent that has been as good as advertised, that doesn't always happen. Sooner or later you are going to get a few that are suppose to be all that, but just turn out to be OK players and never great, it happens all the time.Blue chips don't win national titles in one year....It has been proven over and over and over again that the teams who win it have upperclassmen leadership....They don't have to be seniors but sophomores and juniors with basketball IQ win national titles....Not to mention UK isn't going to have an inside presence this year like they've had the past 2 years with Cousins and Jorts.....Eventually Cal is going to have to build some kind of backbone for this team instead of having players come in and leave every single year....When he was at Memphis he got the top talent but he also had those veterans that held the team together...
And Mills, I got nothing, you are like a broken record that plays the same song over and over and over and over and over........................
Umm....we lost 5 last year and made it to the final four this year. Yes it would be nice to have some 2-3 year players but I enjoy going to the final four and having stud recruits come in every year. Better than going to the NIT (BCG era).Blue chips don't win national titles in one year....It has been proven over and over and over again that the teams who win it have upperclassmen leadership....They don't have to be seniors but sophomores and juniors with basketball IQ win national titles....Not to mention UK isn't going to have an inside presence this year like they've had the past 2 years with Cousins and Jorts.....Eventually Cal is going to have to build some kind of backbone for this team instead of having players come in and leave every single year....When he was at Memphis he got the top talent but he also had those veterans that held the team together...
Next year Miller and Liggins, if he comes back, will graduate and Lamb will probably jump to the NBA....If the freshman this year are as good as advertised I'd say Teague, Gilchrist, and Davis will all make the jump....That leaves UK with what, Wiltjer as the only returning player for 2011-2012 and a lot of the top recruits have already committed to other schools....We'd better hope Cal can keep sweet talkin the top recruits or we might wind up in the middle of the pack in the SEC
We lost 5 last year, true....But we also had 2 juniors and a senior to step into the starting lineup (i.e. upperclassmen) ....If your stud recruits keep turning pro every year, the only thing you're going to have to step in are more freshman eventually, and recruiting classes like his first year don't happen often
