anybody know anything about lake linville i heard that its always clear .

I have fished Linville alot in the past and the water to me is a brown color most of the time, I would not say it is clear though....I've caught some real nice fish there, love it when the water warms in the summer for some night fishn...hands down one of my favorite lakes!

Man someone has got the wrong info on that lake. Gets pretty nasty at times and the word clear isn't a word I would use to describe it. Id say its like most lakes that have creeks...the rains will muddy it up pretty good.
Carnico is one that stays more consistant in color after rains.

I was at Carnico last weekend in all the high wind howling in over the dam and it was heavily stained...don't see it like that often. Usually the only time Carnico goes off color is when one of the residents flushes his toilet.
