    BFL results and.....

Does anyone know how much it took to win the BFL on Monroe or in general how the fishing was. I was on the lake today with my 3 yr. old son and my dad, but didn't do much fishing. It was a great day though, because my son learned how to cast all on his own!!!!! I am a very proud papa today!!!!!!

Looks like the fishing stunk big time.

    What was the lake condition?

Oh wow......that was bad! I don't feel too bad about not catching any now. We only fished for about two hrs......glad we spent most of the time teaching my son to cast!!!! We were only on the upper end (slowside), but it was very muddy almost everywhere we went. We found one area up in middle fork had that clearer water and of course as the day wore on the others in that part of the lake found it and us. We didn't see anyone catch one though. Water was about 60 in the morning and 63 by about 3pm. The lake is 16 ft. high and steady. Once the water clears up it will get good, especially in the flooded brush and grass fields. I figure the start of the spawn is about two weeks out.....I hope they don't drop the bottom out of it right about then!

It was tough fishing. Never good when you go 8 hours with out a bite. From what I heard and read. Flippin is what won it.
