    My rain gauge

Fellas I'm going to have to go out after while if it ever slows up and dump out my 5 inch gauge that was empty yesterday morning or it is going to run over. And............NO, I'm not kidding. My back yard is a lake and it has trashed my wife's landscaping and my lower yard where a small creek is.

This is out of hand bad..............The NWS in Paducah are starting to use terms like '' Possible Record breaking Flood'' in there weather discussions today. I hope you guys on the rivers and creeks are alright, this is getting scarey.

Not sure what we had here for totals so far but I can say my pickup had 2-3 inches of water in it from the rains since Friday. The new LineX bed liner is so tight that it traps water back there....never would have guessed it would do that.

    Re: My rain gauge

I am just glad I have a boat. No money to go fishing but it will come in handy getting the wife to work and the boy to school. My question is can I deduct the gas in my boat as a business expense since I am taking the wife to work in it? If so, do you think I would get audited if I included a few mornings going a "tad bit" out of the way to Ky Lake? What am I worried about, another week and there will be the Frankfort Bay on the NNNNNNNE side of Barkley that runs right thru my back yard. I will be able to charge launch fees from my driveway. Come on rain baby rain.

For the almost 24 hour period for Easter Sunday, my electronic rain guage registered 5.8 inches of rain. They are expecting anywhere from 5-8 more inches by Thursday. Ughhhh...

I got a orange 5 gallon bucket just sitting up next to my house and I swear it has at least 8 to 10 inches of water in it from all the rain we been having. With more rain coming, never know when my honey hole will get back to normal and I can go fishing again.....

I heard the Ohio River was projected to get 3-4 ft above flood stage. Big problems. Good luck to any of y'all on the river...be careful.

Way worse than that. It's projected to be 33 feet on the upper tomorrow morning which is 10 feet above flood stage. And the weather boys are saying the ''REAL'' HEAVY rain will be here on Wednesday, as opposed to what we've been having, lol.

So the 5 inches I've been recording almost every day is the "light rain"?

Time for me to remove my transom straps and loosen the winch strap on my boat.
