I have caught a few on the Ohio River. Mostly go to Clarksville, run up to Cheatam dam, or down to Steam Plant in Cumberland City. Certain times of the year you can catch enough to freeze and last all year. Best fresh though. Twister tails 1.5" white. Good time when there on. Cold at steam plant warm go to cheatam. JMO
yeah I would think the CR. I've caught them in there before. They can get pretty good size and one fighting fish. Lots of fun til you realize what you've caught. Not quite as disappointing as a carp thou. Also called " Mountain Tarpon"
wow if the cumberland is the nearest place then i do believe i will stick to shad and bluegills... barren or green doesnt have them???
Shad guts is good too. skips are big oily fish. Throw a white curly tail out below ky or Barkley dams and reel it in as fast as you possible can. Better yet tie two curly tails on and do the same. Fun to catch.
