117 Cubic Feet per Second of water is being discharged/released from the lake.
I have no idea what inches avail means
As for perct util...I "think" that means percent utilized of the flood pool. At 45% the lake is almost half way into the flood pool. At 100% water would be out of control. It would be high enough that it would run over the flood gates, crest the dam or go through a spike dam pending on what setup the lake has.
Lake is projected to 31.4 feet over summer pool by wednesday. That is insane, high.
I guess 117 is low and they are holding water
I would think they will hold water until the Salt River and the Ohio are able to handle the discharge. If they didn't hold water they would flood or make the flooding worse between the lake and the Ohio.
I believe the inches avail number is the predicted amount of rainfall it would take to reach the flood capacity. Pretty much gonna trash any lake within 200 miles of Louisville. they will all be ridiculously high and muddy.
