Buckeye heads. 1/2 oz.
Look at the weighted and unweighted hooks from Secret Lures, these work really good. www.secretlures.com
I think a lot of this will depend on the swimbait type and size. Hollowbody's may be Texas Rig with whatever size hook you need and whatever weight you need. Solid body baits need a point to hold the bait, generally need to be weighted and certainly need to be wide gap (I am using Mustad now). You also have the swim baits that work with a swimming jig head (fat heads I think).
Usually the package tells you the hooks recommended with that bait; but of course it doesn't hurt to experiment.
You might want to look at the "Big Hammer" swimbait. A killer on Dale. Also the best jig head I've found are made by Keith, Smallychasers.com. Check him out.
I will second that. The Big Hammers are the best. You can get to there site threw ours its on the front page.
